Green Waste Disposal

We are able to accept and process all of your green waste, including flax and bamboo, at our accessible locations in Kapiti, , Wellington (Plimmerton) and Masterton (Wairarapa). As an environmentally conscientious organisation, green waste disposal is priced at a fair and affordable rate, with a view to encouraging customers and the larger community to dispose of their green waste in a responsible, ecological manner. Composting New Zealand urge all customers to act ethically and responsibly in not including any hidden household waste with greenwaste deposits. Green waste is biodegradable waste that can become compost. We can accept grass clippings (no dirt attached), shrub and yard clippings, branches, woodchips, bark, palm trees, flax, bamboo and weeds. Green waste does not include dirt, turf or sods (Clumps of dirt).  Green waste does not include timber, logs, rocks, concrete, stumps, plastics, general rubbish of any kind or paper or cardboard.  This list is not exhaustive; all Composting New Zealand staff have the right to deny the disposal of any product which does not meet what we deem to fit into our definition of acceptable Green Waste.   Composting New Zealand has full right of refusal on what we accept on our site.
